Model : Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ AutoTrace 280
Automates extraction of organic compounds from water samples.
The Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ AutoTrace 280 is an automated solid-phase extraction (SPE) system designed for the rapid and reliable concentration and clean-up of organic analytes from large-volume aqueous samples. It streamlines sample preparation for environmental, waste, and water quality analysis with high throughput and excellent reproducibility.
Our center is equipped with a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ AutoTrace 280 Automated Solid-Phase Extraction System, a powerful tool for sample preparation prior to chromatographic analysis. The system automates the conditioning, sample loading, washing, and elution steps of SPE, processing up to six samples simultaneously from volumes of 20 mL to 4 L per sample.
The instrument significantly reduces manual labor, solvent usage, and variability, while increasing sample throughput and consistency. It is an essential link between field sampling and the analytical instrumentation used to detect trace-level organic contaminants.
It prepares samples by concentrating target analytes onto solid-phase sorbents and removing interfering matrix components. The resulting extracts are then analyzed using techniques such as GC-MS or HPLC.
The solid-phase extraction system supports environmental monitoring, waste characterization, and water quality assessment by ensuring efficient and reproducible sample preparation prior to trace-level organic analysis.
